HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The UNK Lopers defeated the Emporia State Hornets 34-20 to secure their first conference win of the season.

The Lopers dominated on the ground, rushing for 347 yards. Isaiah Harris had a career day, rushing for 269 yards and four touchdowns in the victory. Jahmez Ross scored the other rushing touchdown.

“We played good complimentary football, and I knew we had to be physical to beat this team,” said Head Coach Ryan Held. “When you rush the ball 47 times for 347 yards and five touchdowns; that’s physical football.”

Emporia State excelled through the air, with quarterback Ben Harris throwing for 385 yards and three touchdowns on 55 pass attempts.

UNK travels to Washburn next week for a 1 p.m. game against the Ichabods.
