COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)-The heat was on Saturday evening as first responders gathered at Woodruff Park, shining a light on kids battling cancer. Hundreds showed up for the annual firefighter charity 5K.

First responders, including our host—Columbus Fire & EMS, along with LaGrange Fire, Police, and local emergency management—came together as they do every year to support a great cause.

This year, the organization CURE was the focus, helping fund childhood cancer research while providing support for the children fighting the disease.
