MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Kids of all ages had the opportunity to see, climb and explore public trucks and machinery at the City of Madison ‘Trucks & Treasures’ event on Saturday.

From honking truck horns to checking out tractors and other equipment, the Goodman Pool parking lot turned into a playground.

City employees were also at the event to talk about what they do and show off their equipment.

Tracey Hartley with the City of Madison Parks Division said the event is a long-standing tradition.

“I think it’s just great to kind of just connect more with your city to see what’s happening, how things are moving, shaking out here,” Hartley said. “And you see them from a distance, but then to see them up front, up close, encounter with them is just another just opportunity and just new experi
