ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Some Halloween-themed pop culture events are heading to Elmira next weekend. Empire Sports of the Southern Tier will welcome people of all ages for the festivities.

Empire Scream Fest will be held next Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Empire Sports of the Southern Tier on North Main Street in Elmira.

Organizers say it will be a "pop culture meets Halloween-style" event with a variety of vendors, costume contests, photos, entertainment, and activities for people of all ages.

As part of the event, a Collector's Crawl will take place throughout the day. Vendors and dealers will be showcasing memorabilia of various interests.
