TORRANCE COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A man wanted for armed burglary is being called "dangerous" by a New Mexico county sheriff's office. They said he has a long history of theft and violent crimes, with some of his cases still pending.
Thirty-year-old Michael Tafoya has had run-ins with multiple law enforcement agencies in New Mexico. Just recently, he was accused of stealing a car in Belen, and hours after that, Torrance County deputies said he broke into a Dollar General.
Just last month, surveillance video shows a man scoping out a Dollar General in Mountainair, NM. He then pulls out a gun and shoots the glass door to break in.
