CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF)– It’s more than baseball—it’s belonging. This fall, the Miracle League of Chattanooga returns to Rotary Field at Warner Park, inviting athletes of all abilities to step up to the plate.

Now in its ninth year, the league began as a dream shared by local families, Rotary, and the YMCA. That dream became reality with the opening of a fully accessible ballpark and playground—spaces designed so that everyone can safely enjoy the game.

Rick Doug, Senior Program Director for the YMCA, says community support is a big part of what makes the league so special.

“We have volunteers from Chattanooga State University’s women’s basketball team, the Bearded Villains, and a bunch of different organizations in the community come out to volunteer and be buddies,” Doug explained. “
