The process to remove Shellie McKnight from the Anthony Wayne School Board highlighted the severity of the division within our country. Ms. McKnight posted a laughing emoji on Facebook in reference to the assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk. She later tried to recant saying she wasn’t wearing her glasses and accidentally pressed the wrong icon. She resigned after the board passed a vote of censure on Thursday.

This goes far beyond a single “mistake” on an emoji. Shellie has a history of this.
