The selection of a team experienced at repurposing old buildings in downtown Toledo is an extremely promising development for the important Four Corners project.
The Lucas County Land Bank board voted Wednesday to switch developers for the Nicholas and Spitzer buildings. The previous developer, ARK Development of Toledo and the Model Group of Cincinnati, notified the Land Bank earlier this year that they could not proceed.
The new developer is RKP Group, headed by Kevin Prater.
RKP has renovated some of Toledo’s most successful and high-quality downtown residential projects, including Standart Lofts, the Berdan, Fort Industry Square, and the Overmyer, which brings it to a total of about 350 units.
