The Murray State Racers dropped a 45-10 defeat Saturday night to the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at Amfirst Stadium in Jacksonville, Alabama.
MSU got on the board first on the leg of Jack Tannehill who booted MSU's longest field goal of the season of 43 yards to give the Racers a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.
Meanwhile the Racers' defense got off to a great start in stopping JSU in their first three drives of the game.
Trailing 24-3 at halftime, the Racers took the opening drive of the third quarter all the way to the JSU 3-yard before Jim Ogle's pass attempt was intercepted.
On the next play, JSU fumbled and MSU linebacker Conlee Crossno scooped it up at the 5-yard line and scored to make it a 24-10 game at 9:49.
