A 10-mile woodland walk in the Midlands is set to open to the public this month - for the first time in around 1,000 years.
Perfect for an autumnal walk with friends and family, Bradford Estates on the Shropshire and Staffordshire border will launch The Bradford Walk, a 10-mile walk of accessible public paths.
The historic estate, located an hour from Coventry , will open its historic woodland route on Thursday, September 24. The route will be opened by Sir William Worsley, Chair of the Forestry Commission.
The walk will open up previously private woodland on the Shropshire-Staffordshire border, connecting locals with nature and various heritage sites such as Boscobel House, Tong Village, and Weston Park.
As part of its 100-year plan, the estate hopes to plant more than 195,000 trees
