Two weeks ago San Diego State did not play well in a loss at Washington State. During their bye week head coach Sean Lewis says they tried to focus on sharpening their fundamentals, going back to basics and playing mistake-free football.

Apparently they also worked on making every big play imaginable.

The Aztecs did nearly everything right, scoring two touchdowns on offense and another two on defense in a 34-0 shellacking of the previously undefeated California Golden Bears at Snapdragon Stadium.

Quarterback Jayden Denegal played the best game of his career, completing 15 of 18 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown. His favorite target was Jordan Napier, who hauled in nine catches for 154 yards and that score. Cathedral Catholic High School alum Lucky Sutton led the ground game with 61 y
