For generations, Scitech has been a place WA kids can go learn about how the world around them works.

Now, for the first time in 37 years the beloved institution has undergone a major transformation.

On Sunday, Scitech unveiled 17 new exhibits as part of the Here, There and Everywhere gallery, just in time for the school holidays.

The new permanent interactive displays invite visitors to learn about how science and technology are solving challenges in our homes, our community and around the world.

Scitech chief executive John Chappell said he hoped the new exhibition would inspire the next generation to become curious about science.

“The new generation is very tech savvy, and this is a much more tech savvy type exhibition,” Mr Chappell said.
