Bracebridge OPP are investigating after a person was found dead in Torrance.

Police received a report just after noon on Monday, September 15th, of a person discovered in a remote area.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Tyler Penasse of West Nipissing.

A postmortem examination was completed on Wednesday, and their death is being ruled a homicide.

Police are asking anyone who lives in the areas of Hardy Lake Road in Torrance, Bala, Wahta, and Gravenhurst for any information or dashcam footage that they may have.

Anyone with potential information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

The OPP says that even footage that might seem unrelated may contain critical details.
