The Duchess of York reportedly once apologised to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and called him a "supreme friend", despite previously telling reporters she would "never have anything to do with" him again. ‌

A spokesperson for Sarah Ferguson , also known as Fergie, said this apology email, where she also described Epstein as "genuine" and "steadfast" and apologised for disowning him, was done after he threatened to sue her. ‌

The message from the ex-wife of the Duke of York was reported by The Sun and was dated April 21, 2011. The email showed the Duchess "humbly apologising" to the sex offender for linking him to paedophilia in the media, reports the Mirror. ‌
