MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - As we head into our Sunday today, a broad troughing pattern will remain in place across the region through Monday. With this, moisture will continue to linger during this period which will bring occasional chances for showers and a few thunderstorms. However, overall atmospheric forcing is relatively weak, so precipitation chances will remain below 50 percent.

In addition to this, any rainfall that we do see is expected to be scattered in nature rather than widespread. Not everyone will get wet as the rain makes its way through, but the best opportunity for thunderstorms will occur in the afternoon hours o
