The impact caused the bus to hit a parked car, a fence and eventually a house. The driver later left the scene.
The 46-year-old bus driver was taken to a nearby hospital where she was listed in fair condition with a laceration to the head, police said.
No passengers were on the bus at the time of the crash, and no other injuries were reported.
