CHICAGO (WLS) -- A CTA bus crashed into a house after being struck by a driver who ran a stop sign, Chicago police said.

The crash happened on Saturday at about 10:40 p.m. in the 5500 block of N. Central Avenue, police said.

A CTA bus was heading northbound on Central when a black sedan, who was traveling eastbound on Catalpa, ran a stop sign.

The sedan crashed into the front driver's side of the CTA bus.

The impact of the crash caused the bus to strike a parked car, hit a fence then crash into the side of a home.

The driver of the black sedan fled the scene, police said.

A 46-year-old woman was driving the CTA bus. She suffered a laceration to the head.
