FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have officially ruled cornerback A.J. Terrell out for their Week 3 matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

Terrell suffered a hamstring injury in the final seconds of the first half against the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday night. Head coach Raheem Morris said Monday the Falcons are considering Terrell "week-to-week." Morris added there would be an open competition to determine a starter in Terrell's absence.

In other injury news, the Falcons got a good report on tight ends Kyle Pitts and Charlie Woerner. Pitts was a full participant in Friday's practice after being limited with a toe issue Thursday.
