Reinildo has been slammed by a Sunderland legend after his red card against Aston Villa.

The Black Cats defender was sent off during the first half of their clash at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.

It followed a coming together between Reinildo and Villa's Matty Cash.

The Mozambique international's reaction to a challenge from Cash saw him dismissed by referee Sam Barrott.

Reinildo's kick out had initially been missed by the officials before a VAR check for violent conduct.

Sunderland icon Micky Gray admitted the full-back could have 'no complaints' about the decision.
