SAVANNAH. Ga. (WSAV) — There was a large police presence at Ashton Apartments on Saturday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Ashton Apartments, located on the 500 block of Harris Trail. One person was killed and another was left with injuries, according to a Bryan County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) spokesperson.

Residents of the area were notified that the suspect has not been apprehended yet. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has taken over the investigation.

RHPD is asking the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police department at 912-756-5645 or by calling 911.
