After failing to clinch a post-season berth with back-to-back losses against the Kansas City Royals, the Toronto Blue Jays are hoping the third time’s a charm on Sunday.

The Blue Jays scored only one run apiece in the first two games of the series and will need to reignite their offence to officially book themselves into October action.

It’s win-and-in for the Blue Jays, as neither the Boston Red Sox nor Detroit Tigers can get to 91 wins due to their series against each other next week. Toronto holds the tiebreaker over both teams.

The Blue Jays can also clinch with a loss by all of the Tigers (vs. Atlanta Braves), Red Sox (vs. Tampa Bay Rays), and Guardians (at Minnesota Twins).
