The Milwaukee Brewers’ rotation took a hit before the final week of the season.

Right-hander Brandon Woodruff has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a right lat strain, the team announced Sunday.

The move is retroactive to Sept. 18, leaving him eligible for the start of the NLDS if he recovers in time.

Milwaukee sits first in the NL with a 95-60 record and have clinched a berth in the post-season heading into Sunday’s contest with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Woodruff, 32, has been enjoying a bounce-back season, posting an unqualified 3.20 ERA over 12 starts after missing all of 2024 following shoulder surgery.

He’s struck out 83 batters in 64.2 innings with a 0.91 WHIP and has been a go-to starter for the surging Brewers behind Freddy Peralta and Chad Patrick.
