A woman aged 81 was rescued from water after reports of a concern for her welfare, Greater Manchester Police has said.
Emergency services were called to Queen's Park Road in Heywood , near Rochdale , at around 7.38am on Sunday morning.
Ambulances and police cars were pictured on the road bridge that runs over a stretch of the River Roch in the area, although exact details on what happened haven't been revealed.
Police said the woman was 'found in the water' and later taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for GMP said she remained in hospital on Sunday afternoon 'receiving treatment'.
