Earlier this week, the chair of California's lead agency for climate programs announced she would retire from state service at the end of the month, before her term was set to end.

Outgoing leader of California Air Resources Board, Liane Randolph, sat down with Ashley Zavala in the latest episode of California Politics 360. She shared more reasoning behind the decision to retire early and her thoughts on recent legislation at the State Capitol.

"I just decided it was the right time. I accomplished the things on my to-do list that I wanted to accomplish when I came to the Air Resources Board," Randolph said.
