Action fans in the U.S. will soon be able to catch over 150 classic films from director John Woo for the first time, and they have already sent one of the pioneering director’s classic movies soaring up the VOD charts. Due to arguments over rights issues, the Hong Kong movies of Woo’s extensive career have been out of reach for fans in America for decades, but a deal by Shout! Factory to purchase the Golden Princess library of movies has led to many Asian cinema gems now heading to U.S. audiences in a variety of ways.
