BC Hydro says 1,537 households from Mid to North Vancouver Island are without power Sunday morning.
A tree down across BC Hydro wires has knocked out power to more than 900 households in two locations in the Gold River area Sunday morning.
Power has been out since 6:30 a.m. due to a fallen tree just south of the Gold River Highway.
BC Hydro posted an update just after 8 a.m. Sunday stating “Crews have been assigned to an outage affecting 901 customers in Gold River.”
Another 84 households North of CPFP Logging Road lost power at 6:30 a.m. due to a tree landing on BC Hydro’s wires.
BC Hydro says crews are expected to arrive around 9:45 a.m. for both Gold River locations.
