It has been six years since the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) last hosted its breast cancer awareness rally and health fair. The event returns this year, and is planned for Saturday, Oct. 4, from 1-3 p.m. at First Baptist Church at 900 College St. in Clinton.

Pretty in Pink, sponsored by the BCCCP advisory board and the Sampson County Health Department, will include motivational speakers, information booths, door prizes, and refreshments to educate Sampson County residents and help low-income, uninsured, and underserved women access screening and diagnostic services to detect breast and cervical cancer at the earliest stages, said Public Health Educator Luke Smith.
