After an action-packed Week 3, here are some notes from the past week's slate of games in the Baton Rouge area.
Lutcher freshman QB starting to get comfortable
The Bulldogs are one of the younger teams in the Baton Rouge area. The youth movement starts under center with freshman quarterback Terron Charles.
Charles guided Lutcher (1-2) to its first win of the season against Liberty in a 27-20 victory. He went 10-for-17 for 100 yards. He also ran the ball 18 times for 102 yards, including a 45-yard rushing touchdown on the first drive of the game.
The young quarterback credited the first win to a shift in mindset heading into the game.
"I kept my head up," Charles said. "I didn't get down just because of one play."
