VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — From the roar of the Blue Angels overhead to historic warbirds parked on the tarmac, the 2025 NAS Oceana Air Show delivered a powerful tribute to 250 years of the United States Navy.

Tens of thousands gathered at Naval Air Station Oceana this weekend to witness one of the Navy’s largest public outreach events, and this year’s theme made it all the more meaningful: celebrating a quarter-millennium of naval service.

The free, two-day event returned with a full lineup of aerial demonstrations, interactive STEM exhibits, and a unique mix of history and innovation, including modern F-35C Lightning IIs flying alongside vintage WWII-era aircraft.
