NEWTON GROVE — A 25-year-old woman from Seven Springs was killed Sunday morning as a result of a one-vehicle accident outside Newton Grove.

At 7:22 a.m. on Sept. 21, Trooper W.A. Davis with the NC Highway Patrol responded to NC 50 near the intersection with William R. King Road.

According to the NC Highway Patrol, a Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by Danny Ronaldo Bravo Rodriguez, 23, of 264 Garland Drive, Seven Springs, was traveling east on NC 50 when he ran off the road to the right, causing him to lose control. The vehicle reentered the roadway and then ran off the road to the right a second time, where it collided with a ditch and overturned. The vehicle caught fire a short time later, and was so severely damaged that neither the VIN number nor license plate was legible, troopers say.
