Gov. Josh Shapir o touched on a range of issues during a Pennsylvania-based interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that took place late last week and aired Sunday morning.

York police killings: Shapiro said it was a “brutally gut-wrenching” week in Pennsylvania after a gunman shot five York County police officers on Wednesday, killing three and critically injuring two .

“We’ve got to do better as a commonwealth as a country,” Shapiro said. “We’ve got to address these underlying issues that cause someone to pick up a gun in the first place and use it on others, particularly people who wear a uniform to keep us safe.”
