TYLER, Texas — Organizers in Tyler invite the community to a memorial to remember Charlie Kirk this evening at Bergfeld Park.

Kirk, 31, was assassinated by a shooter Sept 10. during a speaking engagement at a college in Utah. Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was a conservative who was passionate about traditional family values.

The Tyler memorial will be held at the park at 1510 S. College Ave. from 5 to 6 p.m. Over 250 people have responded to a Facebook event with intentions to attend, while 1,300 said they are interested in going.
