SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) -- On Saturday, SU starting QB Steve Angeli left the Orange's game against Clemson and returned with a boot on his left foot and on crutches. On Sunday, ESPN's Pete Thamel reported that Angeli suffered a torn Achilles and will miss the rest of the season. LSU transfer, Rickie Collins, took charge for the rest of the game against Clemson propelling them to an upset win over the Tigers. For Angeli, since he only played in four games, he can apply for another year of eligibility because of a medical redshirt. That would give the Notre Dame transfer back his two years of eligibility that he came to Syracuse with.
