HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A critical car crash involving a pedestrian occurred on the H-1 East Freeway in the Kalihi area on Sunday.

At about 12:48 a.m., it was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, that a 25-year-old male pedestrian was standing on the guardrail of the Kalihi Street overpass and attempting to descend back to roadway when the 25-year-old male pedestrian slipped and fell backwards onto the H-1 eastbound freeway below.

The 25-year-old man pedestrian was struck by a 34-year-old woman driving and then struck again by a 68-year-old woman driving.

As a result of the collision, the pedestrian was taken via Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital in serious condition where his condition deteriorated and he was later listed in critical condition.
