BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Gov. Jeff Landry and his son are among those in attendance at the Sunday memorial service for Charlie Kirk in Arizona.

Thousands gather at State Farm Stadium to remember Kirk, a conservative activist who was shot and killed in Utah at the age of 31 on Sept. 10. According to Turning Point USA, President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance are expected to give remarks at the service.

Landry attended a vigil hosted by the LSU chapter of Turning Point USA and ordered flags to be flown half-staff in Louisiana after Kirk's death.
