KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to work through the region over the next few hours. Throughout the overnight hours, we will be left with a partly cloudy sky with temperatures falling into the middle 60s.

MONDAY: The first day of fall! It will not feel like fall though as temperatures soar into the middle 80s by the afternoon hours. We will start the morning off dry with a mixture of sun and clouds, but by the late afternoon hours, a few scattered downpours will be possible. Some of these storms could be strong at times, especially over the Cumberland Plateau, with gusty winds and heavy rain.

TUESDAY: Another “summer-like” day with high temperatures in the middles and afternoon scattered showers and thunderstorms.
