NASHUA, N.H. —
One man is dead after a gunman opened fire at a New Hampshire country club Saturday evening.
Witnesses, including Jolene Knisell, say they were eating dinner at the club's restaurant when they heard gunshots.
"We were just getting ready to have another drink. I heard somebody scream. A blood-curdling scream. Someone yelled, 'There’s a gun,' and chaos broke out. We were trying to get away from where we were," Knisell said.
Knisell and her husband ran outside and onto the golf course, where they found a woman who lived in a home along the course. The woman took the couple inside her home, Knisell said.
She said she knew they were safe, but was unsure about the other people left back inside the restaurant.
