The Jacksonville Jaguars improved to 2-1 on the season Sunday after defeating the Houston Texans 17-10 at EverBank Stadium.
Despite maintaining the lead for most of the game, Jacksonville’s victory wasn’t secured until the final minutes when an interception sealed the win over their AFC South rival.
The loss drops Houston to 0-3 for the season.
The Jaguars’ offense mounted an 83-yard drive in the fourth quarter to break a tie and secure the winning margin, overcoming earlier struggles that included dropped passes and a turnover.
“Despite all these problems, all these issues, we’re still getting the victory,” said Jaguars fan Kevin Glennon. “We’re 2-1 right now. It feels good.”
