England legend Gary Lineker's return to television is edging closer as the contestants on his latest venture have been confirmed, following his high-profile exit from the Match of the Day hotseat. The 64-year-old confirmed he would be stepping down from his role at the BBC's flagship programme in November 2024 before leaving in May.

Lineker recently ended Ant and Dec's 23-year winning streak at the National Television Awards (NTAs) when he took home the presenter prize as he returned to the public eye. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the former footballer would be the frontman for a new ITV television show 'The Box'.
