Multiple firearms were seized from Dezi Freeman’s wife after he allegedly killed two police officers at a property in north-east Victoria.

A major search remains underway for Freeman, who’s been also named by Victoria Police as Desmond Filby, after he alleged fatally shot a detective and a senior constable in the Porepunkah area on August 26.

The self-declared sovereign citizen was believed to have been armed as he fled into nearby bushland.

It has since been revealed multiple guns owned by Freemans’s wife, Amalia Freeman, are in police possession after being seized.

The guns were taken by police around the time a major search was launched to locate Mr Freeman, the Herald Sun has reported.

The weapons were not used in last month’s shooting incident, according to the publication.
