MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — No injuries were reported after a car slammed into a convenience store in Mesa on Sunday afternoon.

It happened shortly before 3 p.m. at the Water ‘N More store on Higley Road just south of Southern Avenue. According to Mesa police, a small sedan drove over the curb and through the store’s front glass entrance.

No employees or customers were hurt. Police said the woman who was driving the sedan didn’t appear to be injured, but was taken to a hospital as a precaution.

The crash caused “substantial damage” to the store, police say. Photos provided by Mesa PD show the car completely inside the building.

Police are investigating what led to the crash.
