Desert Hills' clean sweep of the three singles finals clinched the Region 9 girls tennis championship title on Saturday.

The Thunder, which had gone an undefeated 6-0 in head-to-head region matches this year, saw solid victories by Sara White in No. 1 singles, Macy Wittwer in No. 2 singles and Stella Shiozawa in No. 3 singles.

Those three wins, combined with a second-place finish in the No. 1 doubles bracket, helped Desert Hills finish with 12 team points overall, while Snow Canyon finished in second place with 14 points. Cedar High, which won both doubles brackets, ended up tied for third with Crimson Cliffs, with both teams totaling 16 points (lower team scores are better, as the points are based on placement).
