SPOKANE, WA – On Monday, September 22, four Texas Roadhouse locations across Washington will partner with local police to host a "Tip-A-Cop" event benefiting Special Olympics Washington.
From 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., police officers will volunteer their time as “Celebrity Waiters” serving guests and collecting donations at the restaurants in Spokane, Kennewick, Union Gap and Bellingham.
The fundraiser supports over 12,000 Special Olympics participants in the state.
Special Olympics Washington offers year-round sports training and competitions for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The organization focuses on promoting physical fitness, courage and community involvement.
In 2025, Special Olympics Washington will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
