Thousands of mourners gathered at a stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday to pay tribute to conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was shot and killed September 10th in front of a large audience while hosting his Turning Point event held on Utah Valley University’s campus.
One supporter who had driven 11 hours from Sacramento, California, questioned who will go on to fill the void left behind by Kirk’s death.
While Charlie Kirk’s assassination has left a community reeling, many others opposed his rhetoric.
Kirk at times engaged in language that was racist, misogynistic, anti-immigrant and transphobic.
That has drawn backlash from conservatives who view the criticism as cherry-picking a few select moments to insult the legacy of an inspirational conservative leader.
