Boka Feliz begins with family: customers, employees, the Denton community and three brothers who created a place where Denton-area guests can taste the flavors, culture and love served by its owners.

Fredy, Magnolio and Humberto Hernandez — all with chef experience at other area eating establishments — decided to open their own restaurant in the food court at Golden Triangle Mall almost four years ago. Daneydy Hernandez, who is married to Fredy, now serves as general manager for the mall location as well as its newer restaurant at 324 E. McKinney Street in downtown Denton.

It’s definitely a family affair.
