New Delhi: The next generation GST reforms announced by the Modi government came into effect on Monday, September 22. Following the implementation of the GST reforms several items including cars, bikes and television will become cheaper, bringing relief to the common man and also the middle class.
GST cut on different items
Several food items have been moved to the NIL or 0% tax bracket. These items include roti, paratha, paneer, khakra and several other items. The GST rate cuts were announced earlier this month by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. It put several items under 2 broad tax brackets of 5% and 18%.
