LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Police Foundation is raising funds for the family of an officer who recently passed away.

In a Facebook post , the LMPF shared a fundraiser for Officer Angela Embry, who passed away on Thursday, September 18.

LMPF says that donations will go directly to funeral expenses, and any additional funds raised beyond that will go towards the care of Officer Embry’s three children.

The foundation shared the following statement in memory of Embry:
