OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - It’s a feeling that no parent wants to face...the feeling of burying their child.
According to the Grassroots Republicans of Owensboro, it is something that happens all too often.
To help those families facing that reality, they hosted a vigil at the Daveiss County Courthouse to give people a chance to share their experiences and come together.
Titus Willis was the primary organizer of the event, wanting to give people that chance.
“It means to stand for something greater than myself. It means to come together inside of unity and do something for the most vulnerable, and have a vigil and a ceremony for the young people who had their futures taken away,” Willis stated.
