EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- Residents in the Evansville area gathered outside of the CenterPoint Energy Plaza to protest and rally about a change in energy.

Three organizations partnered for an event they say is an afternoon of action. Sunday September 21 is national sun day celebrating the power of clean energy.

The day was filled with residents in the community promoting and learning about solar power. The day ended in a rally outside of the CenterPoint Energy Plaza. Organizers titled the event “CenterPoint Coal Costs, The Sun Doesn't."
