WWE Wrestlepalooza featured prominent matches with top stars John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes, AJ Lee, and CM Punk. It also offered some surprises during the night for fans at the arena and watching the premium live event at home.

One of those surprises occurred when Pat McAfee appeared at the event as he made his official return to commentary alongside regulars Michael Cole and Wade Barrett.

McAfee was previously a regular on various WWE shows but took a break from those appearances due to his work on ESPN's College GameDay during the college football season, as well as The Pat McAfee Show, also on ESPN.
